Summary:
To assist customers in the exchange of US currency for chips, cash, foreign currency, SRC Casino documents and negotiable instruments, ambassadors of company good will.
Qualifications:
One-year prior casino cage experience or equivalent cashier/money handling experience.
Ability to handle money and operate a computer terminal.
Communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner.
Knowledge of 10-key and reconciliation of cashier banks.
License Requirement(s):
Class III Gaming License Essential Job Functions:
Redeem SRC casino chips for cash at customer request based on company policies.
Redeem Canadian currency using accurate exchange rates based on company policies.
Cashing of checks for cash utilizing computer terminals, maintaining inventory of documents and negotiable instruments based on company policies.
Prepare reports, assignment of company funds and recordation of department revenues, verification of cash, coin, documents and chip inventory (removal and rotation).
Establish new accounts and process document requirements for check cashing with policy and regulatory guidelines.
Responsible for maintaining their bank, equipment and surrounding area.
Conducts operation of basic machinery such as ticket redemption, currency counter, and calculator.
Basic knowledge of all computer systems used in the cage.
Keep work areas clean and orderly including the outside of the cage Promote teamwork and cooperation with supervisors and all co-workers.
Communicate with supervisors regularly.
Attend all shift meetings.
Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
Bring disputes and unusual guest activities to the attention of the supervisor.
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations (including Federal, State and Tribal Gaming) as well as company policies, procedures, and controls.
Comply with applicable Title 31 recordkeeping and procedures MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
Other duties as assigned Physical/Mental Requirements:
Constantly standing, reaching, lifting, eye/hand coordination for counting money, pulling chip racks from shelves and hand rotating them.
Kneeling and/or lifting to remove bagged coins up to 45 lbs.
Pushing and/or pulling chip racks, reading, writing, color/value discrimination (chips), handling and counting money, chips and other negotiable items.
Walking, bending, stooping and coordination for filing cards.
Knowledge of the alphabet, repetitive wrist/finger motion, and hearing specific customer requests.
Frequent loading of computer paper requiring hand twisting, carrying boxes of paper and lifting load up to 50 lbs.
Working rapidly with the ability to distinguish various chip colors, retention of detail, concentration amid distractions.
Working Conditions:
Working with others/alone amid a noisy environment, climate-controlled, confined area.
Exposure to tobacco smoke, and odors.
