Company Description The Company hiring for this role is a start up modular manufacturing company focused on building comfortable and economical housing for America's workforce.
The goal of the Company is to respond to an ever-pressing need for more affordable and sustainable middle-income housing.
The Company combines design/construction innovation and integration with real estate analytics and development expertise to meet the challenge.
A Skilled Laborer/Carpenter is an integral part of the larger manufacturing team that constructs the Company's modular buildings.
Unlike traditional construction:
this job will take place in a comfortable, indoor environment - which also enables steady, year-round production.
The work site is well-lit and you'll have access to a break room, restrooms and other supporting facilities.
Parking is safe and secure and immediately adjacent to the production facility.
Your responsibilities will vary as you work on different stages of the assembly process including, but not limited to:
framing, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, window and door installation, painting, drywall, finishing, flooring, fixture installation, etc.
Training, and enabling team members to expand their skills, are fundamental parts of the Company's culture.
Key Responsibilities Follow safety regulations and procedures to minimize risk of injury to self and others Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards before they are used in production Read blueprints and other technical drawings Assemble products using a variety of hand and power tools Forklift and scissor lift operation may be required after proper training Qualifications Personal tools and PPE required A minimum of one-year previous construction experience preferred Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools Ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to read a tape measure Ability to reach, bend, crawl, stoop and lift up to 25lbs with no restrictions Must have a positive, can-do attitude Ability to be self-directed Ability to work well with others and participate as a team member Work Environment Indoor production facility Access to break rooms, restrooms and other supporting facilities On-site parking that is safe and secure If this all sounds good to you and you'd like to learn more about the Skilled Laborer/Carpenter position - then please apply!
