Your Responsibilities Equipment operators may perform any combination of duties on construction projects, usually working in utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require.
Perform set up work on the equipment and the job site prior to the operation of the machine.
Greases, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment.
Must be able to make sound judgments and decisions, change tasks often, responsible for various duties and completing precise work.
Must be able and willing to climb down from the machine and help on the ground doing prep work and site work including pipe laying and utility work.
Must have a basic understanding of reading blueprints.
Must have a basic understanding of lasers and elevations.
Must have the ability and knowledge to safely operate various kinds of heavy equipment.
Work with construction crews operating heavy machinery such as large and small dozers, large and small excavators, backhoes, graders, front-end loaders, and forklifts.
While utilizing the equipment, one would maneuver different hand levers, foot controls, and climb in and out of the cab to operate the equipment.
Your Experience & Qualifications 5
