Millwork Prep Team Member -Ferndale

SHIFT: Day (7:00 AM-3:45 PM)
ROLE: Work as a member of a new millwork team that cuts and assembles MDF and particle board materials in preparation for final processing into a variety of millwork products. This strategic operation will focus on safety, accuracy, lean manufacturing and consistent productivity in the operation and maintenance of table saws, glue spreaders, layup stations and presses as part of daily production.
Operate table saws, glue spreaders and press machinery as assigned and trained in a safe and accurate manner.
Effectively work within a team to complete production requirements.
Conduct calibration and tolerance checks on work product for quality control.
Mark and label work product according to established packaging and inventory procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized production facility.
Efficiently and effectively manage work flow to meet production timelines and order due dates.
Perform all duties in accordance with company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
Maintain a positive and engaged attitude.
Read English and follow instructions.
Consistently lift and move 50+ pounds.
Do basic math using decimal-based inch measurement.
Read a tape measure and digital caliper.
Able to learn raw material characteristics and handling, component manufacturing specifications and quality control measures to accurately produce defect-free components.
Be comfortable performing some repetitive motions and operating machinery for full shifts while standing.
Pass a pre-employment drug test, including screening for marijuana use.
Have a strong woodworking and/or mechanical aptitude.
Wage depends on prior woodworking or machinery operation experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
