Lean Manufacturing Manager

This position is part of the Technical Department and will be accountable for Lean Manufactory assistance for operations and projects. Candidatewill work withalldepartment managers to drive manufacturing improvementsin the entire facilityutilizing Alcoa Business Systems (ABS) principles.

Position will be the liaison between Intalco and Continuous Improvement team to drive operational excellence and growth, using ABS principles focused in reducing manufacturing costs, improve stability, increase productivity, improve metal quality and reduce environmental impact of the Plant.The success in this role is critical to improvethe profitability of the location.

Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the CoE and location, identify areas for improvement and opportunities for knowledge transfer in and out and provide the support to execution;

Drive continuous improvement through the consistent implementation of ABS, planning systems andmanagement systems;

Deploy Departments Daily Management Systems, Shifts Management System, Task Management System, Standardization Work, Help Chain and Reaction Plans;

Train all levels of the organization in the ABS principles. to drive operational improvement;

Apply Best Practices and facilitate rapid transfer of improvements across the location;

Conduct Operational Excellence and Reliability assessments, analyze deviations from standards and facilitate strategic problem solving;

Link action plans with the DI system and measure impact of each project;

Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, TPM and TQM methodology to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in continuous improvement roles with strong understanding of lean manufacturing

Demonstrated computer skills in the Windows environment as well as other desktop software,andknowledge of Smelting processesis preferred.

Ability to influence others & deliver resultswithout authority

Strong communication skills

Preferred:

Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field

Leadership and management skills

Thorough understanding of financial concepts
