Purpose and Scope The Timken Housed Units Warehouse Associate (in Ferndale, WA) contributes to the operations of Assembly, Urethane Manufacturing, and/or Product Packaging/Shipping teams.
The position displays developing knowledge and skill in all areas of manufacturing operations.
The Warehouse Associate follows direction and supports an environment that is adaptable to growth, process change, and is in line with the business unit's goals and expected performance metrics.
Responsibilities Executes standard work instructions with accuracy and efficiencyPromotes and maintains a safe work area at all timesPerforms and executes high quality workmanship in Assembly, Urethane, or PPS as assignedProvides high quality attention to detail in all aspects of dutiesEnsures thorough housekeeping and organization of work areasWears required PPE and follows all company safety procedures, including safe lifting practicesProactively communicates issues, shortages, or problems to Warehouse Coordinators, Supervisors, and/or Customer Services RepresentativesProvides support and willingly rotates to other areas of the warehouse as needed and during fluctuating demand periodsAdheres to 5s organizational standards Technical/Functional SkillsKnowledge and ability to work with a wide variety of hand and light duty power toolsAbility to lift and manipulate heavy partsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to handle stressful and demanding situationsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to prioritize multiple tasksAdaptable to a diverse and changing work environmentStrong communicate skills in both verbal and in writing formStrong interpersonal skills, flexibility and determinationWillingness to take initiative in solving problems Minimum Job RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDSuccessful completion of a pre-employment medical examination, background check, and drug test (including marijuana) Licenses or CertificationsForklift Certification provided if necessary General Physical RequirementsVerbal Communication Written Communication Hearing of Conversation Level Vision:

Some machine operation (Forklift, oven, drill press) that poses a safety riskConsiderable physical activity.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds (below shoulder height) Environment involves some exposure to hazards and physical risks that require following basic safety precautions.
Some chemicals involved in urethane production pose a safety risk; proper precautions must be taken including personal protective equipment like protective clothing and respirators.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
